P.S. I Love You

P.S. I Love You has been one of the sweetest movies I can honestly say I have seen in years.

It's about a woman named Holly(Hilary Swank), and her husband Gerry (Gerard Butler). The two are completely undeniably in love until... Gerry dies. The rest of the film is about Holly getting through her grieving and moving on from her late husband, meanwhile he's sending her letters to help her as well.

I find this film to be quite an original idea from most movies today. You find a majority of films that being released within the past couple of years have either been a remake of an older film, or a remake of a japanese film.

This fact along with how P.S. I Love You makes you laugh and cry at the same time throughout the entire film is another reason why this film is amazing. As well some of the scenes were shot right on location in Ireland, and the views filmed from Ireland are absolutely gorgeous.

I find Hilary Swank did an amazing job in this film as grieving/growing woman. Like I said before I haven't had a film move me as much as this in ages, Plus Gerard Butler is amazing with his little irish accent, not to mention that he's an amazing actor as well. It honestly makes you want to hop on a plane and fly to Ireland!

So I would suggest this film to any girl who needs a good cry or two, because this is a definite amazing chick flick, let this also be a warning to the guys DEFINITE CHICK FLICK!!!! but hey if you like chick flicks go for it!

Thanks Holley for choosing a topic that I also love and I also appreciate that you have cited the source of the posters. The posters are really helpful because your reader immediately knows what film you are talking about.

The most recent film that I have seen is Juno. I liked it very much. One criticism I read was that the smart, funny dialogue comes so fast that the viewer can be exhausted. It is the kind of film that you might want to see more than once.

I also saw a good Canadian film called "Breakfast with Scot". I enjoyed this one even though there were some stereotypes.

How do you prefer to watch films Holley? In the theatre? DVD? Computer?

I've actually already seen Juno... twice... it was actually going to be my next edition! I absolutely loved it!, as for Breakfast with Scot I have not seen yet, but perhaps i will look for it.

I'm a horrible movie collector though, and I actually go to the theatre quite frequently as well. Most of the movies i watch though are on DVD, as i love to watch special features after as well!!!

Hi Holley,

I just read your write up about "ps I love you". Its not my typical movie, but I do want to see it. I really like Gerard Butler. I think he's a great actor (and cute too).

What other types of movies do you like? Do you watch any sci-fi, horror, or mystery movies??

I'm a huge sci-fi movie watcher! But I do on occasion watch some drama movies.

Thank you,
